It is a family run school, with 45 boarders and 110 day students. The
Principal, Julie James, and her husband, Kim James, founded the school in
1986 and are dedicated to providing children not only with an excellent
education, but a happy learning environment. They live within the school
premises and are always on hand in case of problems. Being small ensures
that Alpha is not only a school but also a second home to the children.
Having spent 5 months working there as a volunteer teacher in 2003, Thomas
Wells was impressed with the school's academic performance. However, for
him the more important issue was that he could trust Alpha to look after
the children.
