Dear Friends of FFN

Let me begin by thanking you all for your continued support of FFN and the Nepalese cause. I apologise for the belatedness of this newsletter.

The past three months have been as busy as ever, with the arrival and then subsequent departure of my Durham University Himalaya group as well as the Dashain and Tihar holidays. During their six week stay in Nepal, the Durham students all successfully trekked to Annapurna Base Camp (without any injuries), and made a substantial contribution to local Kathmandu schools via their community placements. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them all, and in particular Ashley Farrell (the group leader), for making this year’s trip such a success. The grass root community projects and the street child programme that this group has funded (see http://www.futurefornepal.com/current-projects.php) are now up and running, and making a long- lasting difference to Nepalese society.

With the return of the FFN children from their three week holiday to celebrate Dashain and Tihar, I am happy to announce that a new eight old girl has also joined our sponsorship programme, taking the overall number of children FFN supports at Alphas to 30. Without the support of individuals such as yourselves, none of this would have been possible, and for that I am deeply grateful and thankful.

As ever, should any of you have any queries about FFN or our activities, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Thank you all for your generosity,

Take care,

Tom Wells
