January-March 2008
Dear Friends of FFN
Let me begin by wishing you all a happy and prosperous Nepali New Year!!
As ever, it has been a hectic three months with three new children joining Alphas hostel (bringing the total to 30 kids currently sponsored by FFN), and the completion of our 2007 community projects (for more information, please see: http://www.futurefornepal.com/fundraising.php).
We have also already begun selecting the sites for our 2008 projects. The projects will be on a much larger scale than those in the past, directly benefiting 500 children and indirectly thousands of families.
However none of this would have been possible without the generosity of individuals such as yourselves. So please let me take this opportunity to thank you all your continued support of Future For Nepal and the Nepali cause.
Our 2008 Durham University Everest Trip is also progressing well. I had the privilege of meeting the students in February and they are a fantastic group of individuals. I am sure that they will have an amazing time in Nepal, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish them good luck with their fundraising.
Currently our website is being remade by our Nepali designer to create a fresh, more simplistic approach. It should hopefully be completed by the end of April, and I would encourage you to visit it post-this and send me any feed back (www.futurefornepal.com).
From tomorrow, I will be away travelling for a few months. First destination is Nepal, where I plan to visit both the children FFN is currently sponsoring, as well as our completed and future community projects. However, throughout my time away I will be in email contact or alternatively you can call me on my Nepali mobile (+977-1-9841228991).
Should anyone have any queries about the activities of FFN, please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you again,
Take care,
Tom
