Thomas Wells - Chairman
Thomas runs the day-to-day operations of Future For
Nepal from the
UK. He
also visits
Nepal on a biannual basis to check that all is running
smoothly there.
Having graduated from
Durham University with a First-Class Honours degree
in Economics in 2007, Thomas is currently studying for his MSc in
Economics at UCL.
James O'Donnell- Vice-Chairman
James mainly acts in an advisory role in FFN's decision making, helping to
curb the sometimes exuberant enthusiasm of Thomas Wells- the so-called Devil's Advocate Effect.
Having graduated from Manchester University in 1970 with a BSc (Honours) in
Mechanical Engineering, James worked for 26 years for the investment bank,
JPMorgan, mainly as Vice- President of Human Resources in London. James
also works on a voluntary basis for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
David Wells- Treasurer
David is in charge of Future For Nepal accounts, compiling quarter reports
for the Trustees as well as the audited annual report for the England and Wales Charity Commission.
Having qualified in 1975 as an F.C.A, as well as running DP Financial
Consulants since 1978 and holding numerous Financial Directorship
positions, David also worked for 6 years as Managing Director of the Young
Entrepreneurs Venture Capitalist Fund, founded by Lord Harris.
Laurence Wells- Legal Advisor & Secretary
Laurence assists Future For Nepal in all legal issues, as well as being
the Charity's Secretary.
Having graduated from St. Andrews University in 1999 with an Upper Second MA
in Modern Languages and from BPP Law School with a Distinction, Laurence
qualified in 2005 as a solicitor with Allen & Overy LLP.
Christine Buckfield- Trustee
Christine helps in an advisory role in Future For Nepal's decision making.
Having started and currently running her own successful children's
clothing company, Plain Clothes Portugal, Christine liaises with numerous
clothing companies to ensure FFN is continually well-stocked with clothes
to provide for the needy in Nepal.
Nepal Representatives
Prerana Thapa- Administrator
Prerana overviews all the projects and FFN's sponsorship programme in Nepal, ensuring that all FFN funds are properly accounted for.
Having graduated with a BA in Economics and Anthropology from Sweet Briar
College in the United States in 1991, Prerana has over 13 years of
experience in financial management, including 5 years as Finance and
Administrative Officer for Partners for Development in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
Salman Ali- Assistant
Salman assists Prerana in the administrative side of Future For Nepal's
Nepalese operations on a part-time basis.
Karun Thapa- Website Designer
Karun designed and now currently updates the website.
