Due to the support of FFN, Alpha High School carried out various building
projects for the benefit of all the children:
- A new accommodation block was built for the junior hostel. This not only
ensured the long- term hostel capacity of the school, but provided the
existing students with more accommodation space.
- A recreation room was constructed. This created a place for the children
to practice dance and to perform daily morning yoga.
- The existing library was revamped. The idea was to place greater
emphasis on encouraging the children to learn through reading.
- Three new computers were purchased for the recently renovated computer
room. With all the computers now linked up to the internet, independent
learning was to become more prominent.

FFN worked working in coordination with the Budda Bhumi Buddhist Centre to

3. Swoyambhu

needed to improve the living conditions for the refugees at a cost of £400.
4. Godavari
